Due to a recent PM.. and not a very nice one at that... :
The folowing need to be stated in public for all to see.....
XLR was (up untill 1 month ago aprox) a "private" LAN only mod.. for my personal use and sanity whilst offline for 2 years
During the time i "dug out" alota old ships and solars that were in danger of being "forgotern" from old mods i had on my HD
and in my backups... some of these mods are now gone.. like Evolved & Asgard, others have superceded the builds i used in leaps and bounds..
i also put stuff in just to "see" it work.. hang me for being curious if you will...
but... I NEVER INTENDED TO RIP ANYONES WORK!!
or be the "next great thing".. I was just "offline" for 2 years (I can't stress that enough!!) and bored outa my brain...
My point being... If you see something in XLR that is yours... TELL ME!... NICELEY...(please) If i haven't already asked its probaly becuse i don't know "who to ask" alot of the old modders and builders are long gone into other games.. or just plain gone.. (R.I.P. guys..
) it makes it real hard to chase you all up..
especialy when im neck deep in code fixes and new model conversions.. (and there permissions) also not all of it will make the beta.. so yelling at me about something i'm about to pull out anyway.. well... that just hurts my feelings.. and achives nothing.. ('cuase i have none thanks to my lovely medication).. I'm a "nice guy".. and probaly already have a Q or to to ask you myself.. its just hard to make a "handshake agreement" when i had no hand to shake.. but my hands are out there now.. and my intentions are friendly.. (yes dispite my apperance hehe).
The readme clearly states "I don't model.. or claim ownership of any models in XLR" and also gives full credits to mods/builds & various other tidbits from
around the community.. at the time of writing.. 5 months ago!... a new readme is underway.. and the beta version is a "rebuild" from the ground up..
ALOT of resources are being replaced with new ones each day.. all my own conversions, and code is constantly re-written on a 4 hour cycle (how i work).. not that's there's much "learn from" code left ATM.. as this has been my focus the last 5-6 days to "clean house"...
I will also remind everyone this is a "ALPHA" & still a "private" mod... and will in many ways be very different to the "final" in both ship and solar departments also with new (my own, WHY485 & bas) fx, .txm & .ale files. to fit the mood and style were currently "refining"..
I'll leave this on a good note. and a HUGE thank you to anyone who's ever modded FL.. you may or may not be what i now consider "one of my teachers" but it all helped me understand how to mod FL.. and the varying ways it can be done..
