i really like this book. i think its cool how like its based on fitzgeralds life. plus, in the movie, nick is awesome.  |

Ringo, old money means that you inherit your money, meaning it's been in the family for years and you have it and you know how to spend it (although most of the time it isn't wisely). That's what Tom and Daisy are.
New money means that you've started a fortune clear out of the blue, like you've never had money and now you do, so now you can buy that ring you've always wanted.
