After a long, hard day of killing Shadows and other evil guys, I like to cook.
I thought I would share a simple but really good recipe for you poor Mercs (who are on K rations), due to your mercenery lifestyle. Mr.V loves this.
MEXICAN RICE
1 teaspoon salt
2 gloves garlic,minced
3 tablespoons cooking oil
1 cup uncooked rice
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup tomato puree or can tomato sauce
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat oil. add rice and cook/stir until golden. Add and saute onion,bellpepper,and garlic.
Mix salt, tomato and broth together well. Add to rice, bring to a boil then cook until tender (simmer covered) and liquid is obsorbed. Cooking time 20 min. over low heat.
Enjoy

Hey Grey it goes well with home made tamale.But since holiday are coming next week I,ll give you all a Pumpkin turtle pie recipe.Unless Hazz takes down the Groveling poll. If not we always have needle point tips of the week or I could start hanging curtains around here.  There is more than one way to skin a cat! Lady VorteX |
